lealholm Choir entertained members, friends and supporters of Friends of Whitby Pavilion, at a recent concert, helping to raise around £50 for Friends’ projects.

The mixed-voice choir, under the musical direction of Joe Skilbeck, gave a medley of songs from their repertoire at the Friends’ latest social gathering, held in the Pavilion Café.

They were joined by students of the Benson Stage Academy, who performed a short extract from Alice in Wonderland.

Refreshments were served and a raffle held to help boost the proceeds.

Friends’ chairman Elizabeth Cheyne thanked the performers for an enjoyable evening and all who had supported the event.

Friends of Whitby Pavilion is a support group, which raises funds for projects to enhance the Pavilion complex for the benefit of all users and help raise awareness of the entertainment venue generally.
