WHITBY Leisure Centre has a host of activities taking place for families this half-term and many of them are free.
Alongside Whitby Leisure Centre’s usual Kiddy Kamp and TGI Holiday day camp sessions youngsters can try a variety of sports although booking is advisable.
Get the kids up and active from the beginning of the holidays with a free FIT Club session on tomorrow from 10am to noon..
The session, which is normally £3.45 per child, is free and is suitable for children aged five to 15.
On Tuesday, girls can have a go at a free football session, suitable for girls aged four plus from 10am to 11am while budding rugby players can have fun at a taster session run by Whitby Rugby Club for ages eight to 12 from 11am to noon.
Thursday will see a free tennis session for children aged seven to nine which will give youngsters the chance to learn skills with professional coaches. All equipment will be supplied at the lesson between noon and 1pm.
Fancy a swim? During the school holidays, designated General Swim sessions are £1 per person while indoor courts for badminton, short tennis, table tennis and basketball are available for just £1 per person too.
Discounted court hire is only available until 5pm only and booking is required.
To be eligible for the discount, people must present their residents cards at reception at the time of admission and as always, the under eight’s pool policy applies.
Swim sessions on offer are Monday 6pm to 7.15pm, Tuesday 4pm to 5.30pm, Wednesday 6pm to 7.15pm, Thursday 6.30pm to 8pm, Friday 11am to noon, and Sunday 7pm to 8.30pm.
