Do you love theatre?
If your answer is yes, Glaisdale’s Esk Valley Theatre needs you.
Last year, 3,951 people enjoyed an EVT performance or event and the company is working hard to create even more opportunities to enjoy professional theatre in the heart of the North York Moors.
The company is in its 9th year and producer Sheila Carter said for those who want to help it grew and continue to serve the district’s isolated rural communities, are invited to become Friends of the EVT.
She said people don’t need any special skills to be a friend but they do need to be enthusiastic and passionate about theatre.
Friends can help in all sorts of ways, from leaflet distribution to helping at an event, or even organising your own event for the theatre.
And there are lots of ways people can contribute to the company’s future and you can do as much or as little as you want.
Sheila said: “Many theatres are finding the current economic conditions a challenge and EVT is no exception.
“Lots of people have contributed to the success of the theatre and the company is working hard to survive. If you feel you have a little time or energy to spare, then we would love to hear from you.”
Anyone interested in becoming a friend is asked to call (01947) 897587 or to find out more about the theatre visit www.eskvalleytheatre.co.uk.
