Double bill at Whitby Pavilion 3D cinema

FILM fans can savour a double bill of high definition action this weekend when they head to Whitby Pavilion’s 3D cinema.

In Rio (U), when Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams.

You can see the film from today to Sunday, showing at 10.30am and 2.30pm.

Water for Elephants (12a), stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon, and tells the tale of a veterinary student who abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet.

Catch the action at 7.30pm tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday night.

Later in the month, people can watch Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides, Diary of the Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules and The Hangover 2.
