An ice rink will be installed in historic Scarborough Spa as the venue hosts Celebrities on Ice this summer.
Celebrity ice skating sensations who appeared on the hit ITV show will compete once again as part of a national tour.
In a major coup for the venue, winner Beth Tweddle, Gareth Thomas, Matt Lapinskas and Chico will be taking centre-rink when the show comes to Scarborough between 31 May and 2 June.
It be hosted by Christopher Biggins and will feature spectacular skating, aerial acrobatics, circus tricks and plenty of audience participation for the whole family to enjoy.
Helen Broadbent, general manager at Scarborough Spa said: “We are really excited to be hosting such a spectacular tour in the Spa’s Grand Hall.
“This is essentially an arena tour so for the Spa to be involved is a real coup for Scarborough.
“Everyone has loved the ITV series Dancing on Ice this year and we are committed to bringing top class entertainment to the region.
“We can’t wait for the show’s celebrities to impress us with their moves and entertain families from the area.”
Packed with brand new choreography from ice show creator Phil Winston and seven times British champion Steven Cousins, audiences will get to see their favourite celebrities and the world renowned International Ice Stars perform breathtaking and extravagant routines.
