A MEETING is being held tonight to discuss the loss of the mobile library at Hindwerwell, Port Mulgrave and Runswick Bay.
The villages will lose their mobile library service in September and Malcolm Smith has organised the consultation meeting to discuss potential alternatives.
The mobile library will continue to visit Staithes and possible alternatives include using the Coble Courier to provide transport, or a revival of the old Hinderwell Library which existed in the early 1900s.
Library users are invited to attend to give their comments and suggestions for possible alternative local provision, which would be run by volunteers.
The meeting will be held tonight in Hinderwell Village Hall at 7.30pm.
