Santa made a whistlestop tour of Whitby ahead of his busy day to find out what’s making children’s Christmas lists.
Last week Whitby Round Table travelled along with Santa to Staithes and Hinderwell where children gathered with their wish lists in their hands.
In return they received a small gift from Santa as a bond for good behaviour until Christmas Day.
Santa breezed into Helredale and Stakesby where dozens of hopeful children turned out despite the high winds.
With a helping hand from his elf and reindeer, Santa listened to the children and compiled a list, to take back to Lapland in good time for the big day.
Among the most popular items were games consoles, bicycles, scooters, dolls and toy trains.
Secretary of Whitby Round Table, Giuseppe La Vigna said: “Sounds like Santa’s elves are going to have a busy couple of weeks to make sure all of Whitby’s children wake up with a smile on Christmas morning.
“All donations collected over the two nights will be used to help local good causes supported by Whitby Round Table during the forthcoming year”
