For the first 10 weeks the students learnt skills such as leading activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, the relationship of music to dance and creating dance opportunities.

For the second half of the course the girls worked with children from local primary schools to create a dance piece for the revue at Caedmon school, which enabled them to show off their new abilities.

The leaders were Eve Locker, Jodie McConnell, Nicol Bedingfield, Marnie Ashburner, Emily Watkinson, Isabel Mastrolonardo, Ellen Grady, Nicole Stewart, Charlotte Winspear and Paige Stewart.

A good crowd enjoyed the revue and school sports coordinator Pete Woolley thanked both Whitby Communtiy College and Caedmon for hosting the course.
