A TRIO of professional photographers are kicking off the new year with a talk at Whitby’s Photographic Society.

Middlesbrough snappers John Devlin, Mike Kipling and Brian Jobson will give a talk entitled ‘Masters of Light’ on 10 January.

Mr Devlin, who runs a small studio in Billingham, said: “The talk itself is based on our experience working as professional photographers and why light is so vital to photography. Hence the title of the talk ‘Masters of Light’. It generally lasts one & half hours but can be tailored to suit and we are happy for questions and answers either at the end or through-out.”

The event takes place from 6.45pm and will be held in the Normanby Room at Whitby Museum. Entry costs £2 for non-members, or free to members.
