WHITBY Photographic Society honoured three of its long standing members at a recent meeting.
Wilf Leng joined the club in 1960, when membership cost one guinea per year.
He has continued an unbroken link with the club since that time, holding many positions within the club, including secretary for practical sessions, competition secretary, vice-chairman and, since 1996, chairman.
Mr Leng stood down as chairman at the A.G.M. and accepted the position of honorary president.
In the light of his long service to the club he was presented with an inscribed pocket watch.
At the same meeting Richard Day and Margaret Nixon, who have also been members since the 1960’s, were given honorary membership and presented with a framed certificate.
Margaret had served as secretary and Richard is now in charge of the club website.
