Whitby Pavilion’s silver screen is here to stay – and has a host of summer films lined up for all movie-goers to enjoy.
The Whitby Gazette revealed on Friday that the Pavilion’s digital cinema credits will keep rolling after Scarborough Borough Council stumped up £14,000 to buy the projector.
With something for children or the young at heart to enjoy, Kung Fu Panda 2 (U) will be showing this weekend.
Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five-Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey.
But Po’s new life is threatened by a formidable villain, who plans to us a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu.
It is up to Po and The Furious Five to journey across China and face this threat and stop thew weapon that can end kung fu.
Kung Fu Panda 2 will be showing on Saturday and Sunday at 10.30am and 2.30pm daily.
In X-Men:First Class (12A), before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names of Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.
Before they were arch-enemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other mutants, to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known.
In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
X-Men will be showing this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7.30pm each night.
