Rain didn’t dampen the party in Whitby today (Saturday) as the autumn goth weekend got into full swing.
The pavilion and leisure centre were packed as people trawled the trade stalls looking for that extra something to complete their outfits or even plan next year’s get up.
Outside, the koolest cars around rolled into town and parked up at West Cliff school with everything from American hot rod cars to vintage VDubs on show.
Pubs, restaurants and B&Bs are reporting being fully booked as the event gets more and more popular with many visitors coming to Whitby just to enjoy the spectacle.
More bands will be taking to the stages tonight at the Pavilion and the Met, as well RAW nightclub which is hosting fringe events each night and at Whitby Abbey, which has been spectacularly illuminated at night, there have been gothic and macabre re-enactments
Tomorrow will see the annual charity football match taking place at Whitby Town’s Turnbull ground with the Real Gothic hoping they will be victorious this year.
