Elizabeth tours the capital

ELIZABETH the Steam Bus took a tour around London after visiting the capital to take part in the Lord Mayor’s Parade on 12 November and Paul Wilson was on hand to snap photos of the journey.

He joined the bus’ owners Viv and Vern Smith during their visit and was able to get these pictures of Elizabeth with some famous landmarks.

The 80-year-old converted Sentinel lorry was undoubtedly the star of the parade, gaining huge attention and nationwide press coverage, including a live interview with Viv on BBC1 during the parade itself.

Owner Vern swore the steam bus “enjoyed” the attention and said the highlight of the journey was driving down The Mall near Buckingham Palace, only to see Her Majesty the Queen travelling in the opposite direction and admiring the vehicle.
