Whitby Pavilion will be showing a whole host of films for all the family this festive season.
First of all, romance and drama reach new heights in the Twilight Saga’s thrilling penultimate chapter, Breaking Dawn Part 1, showing Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
This latest instalment opens with Bella and Edward’s much-anticipated wedding. But despite the fact that Bella has now chosen her husband, the saga’s conflict is far from over, as Edward faces the most difficult question of his life – should he grant Bella’s wish to become immortal?
Another sequel, Happy Feet Two – showing on 23 December and then 26-29 December, sees the return of the dancing penguin in a great family treat.
Mumble (Elijah Wood) and his loveable comrades are battling to save Antarctica from powerful forces that threaten life as they know it. As if things couldn’t get more complicated, Mumble’s dance-ophobic son Erik runs away from home, only to find a new role model in the super-cool flying penguin The Mighty Sven (Hank Azaria).
Finally, bringing in the New Year is Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, the latest and craziest adventure for the singing chipmunks yet.
Having spent much of ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel’ in hospital, long-suffering Dave Seville (Jason Lee) decides to go on a luxury cruise. But of course he can’t go without chipmunks Alvin (Justin Long), Theodore (Jesse McCartney) and Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler).
After one jape too many, however, the lovable critters find themselves ‘chip-wrecked’ on a desert island.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £5 for children.
