A WHITBY artist is starting the new year with a major show of his work.
The 70 pieces on display at Durham University’s Grey College will demonstrate the development of Richard Pottas’ ideas on growth and vegetation over the last decade.
The exhibition will include decorative, figurative work based on parts of south-west France, as well as figurative paintings showing the artist’s interpretation of structure in plant forms.
Private View, by Mr Pottas, opens today between 6pm and 8pm.
The show is also open between 11am and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays and is also available to view on weekdays by appointment.
It runs until 11 March and further details are available from Henry Dyson by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 07798 884638.
Mr Pottas is also showcasing eight pieces of his work at the Jose Art Fair in Battersby, London, from 8 to 12 March.
A set of the artist’s artwork will also be on view at the Moors Centre in Danby later in the year, or alternatively visit www.richardpottas.com to view his work.
