This atmospheric shot of Whitby Abbey was captured by local photographer Si Mulgrave.
It portrays the moodier side of the historic monument and it’s misty aura is apt now that the dark nights are upon us.
Si got his snap while trying out his new camera.
He told the Gazette he used a long exposure on a tripod with no filters.
He used minimal editing to get the finished product and chose only to lighten the image slightly.
Si has many other images he has captured from in and around Whitby - look out for them in a forthcoming issue of the Gazette.
