THE Rolling Stones are universally known as The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World, selling more than 200 million albums worldwide.
Their hits include Jumping Jack Flash, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, Get Off of My Cloud and Let's Spend the Night Together.

And you can win one of four pairs of tickets - see Friday 26 February's Whitby Gazette.

Now Whitby rock fans can catch The Stones live at The Avenue in Middlesbrough, courtesy of Morningside Management, on Thursday 11 March.

This is not a tongue-in-cheek approach, but a serious tribute to their music.

The band pays tribute to the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world.

The band performed at the Rolling Stones Festival in 2007, this was extraordinary for the power of the songs, the way Ben slipped into the Mick Jagger role as if he had been born to it and the way the band immediately grasped the feel of The Rolling Stones music.

The legendary Rolling Stones were formed in London in 1962 with an original line-up of Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman and their hits are known the world over.

The current line-up of the band and the Rolling Stones member they most represent includes Ben on vocals/harmonica/percussion as Mick Jagger and John on guitar and vocals as Keith Richards

The band was first put together as part of the first Rolling Stones Festival of 2007, in Eckington, Derbyshire. Ben bears a striking resemblance to Mick Jagger.

Their repertoire covers songs from all periods of The Rolling Stones career, but the majority of songs are from the 60s and 70s.

Tickets cost £15, concessions £13 from the box office on (01642) 815181.

The gig starts at 7.30pm.
