DANBY Castle is set to play host to an artist who may be just the tonic to kick the summertime blues.
Teesside-born singer/songwriter Rojor has been described by culture magazine The Crack as "one of the north east's stellar talents."
Musically, comparisons range anywhere from groups like The Blue Nile through to Cafe Del Mar.
Critics have gone as far as to dub him "the undiscovered genius...with intelligent and inspiring lyrics", while there may be an element of truth in this, one thing is certain; with a patchwork of worldly musical influences and his soulful husky voice, Rojor's material is both captivating and entrancing.
After the success of his last two studio albums The Book of Secret Songs and The Thief Who Stole the Truth, Rojor came to the attention of the US and UK mainstream with European and American airplay. A multitude of MP3s, videos and photographs are available at www.rojor.com
But you can catch him live at Danby Castle on Friday 3 July. Call 01287 669219 or e-mail enquiries@danbycastle.com
