FORGET the festivals at Leeds and Glastonbury, the Mallyan Spout Hotel in Goathland is throwing a local open air concert fit for the whole family.
And all proceeds will be going straight to the Great North Air Ambulance.
The concert will be held on Bank Holiday Sunday 24 August. Gates open at 3.30pm and the fun starts at 4pm.
The music will be as varied as the acts featuring live local bands, The Committee, Wasting Charlie, Carl Robinson and Something Nasty in the Woodshed.
The final act will be The Ultimate Tribute Show covering Shania Twain, Elvis, Cher, Mick Hucknall, Karen Carpenter and Amy Winehouse.
If that doesn't whet your appetiate then a barbecue and an outside bar will be there to serve refreshments whenever it is needed.
Furthermore, the hotel offers a great view of the sun setting over the Esk Valley and people will be able to dance the night away or could try their luck on The Bucking Bronco.
The proceeds will be going straight to the Great North Air Ambulance which has no government funding and relies on the goodwill and charity of others.
Jason Wood, manager of the Mallyan Spout, said: "We never know, it could be one of us requiring their services one day so it's imperative we do our best to support them in their role.
"It's our aim to raise as much money as we can while offering an enjoyable day for all. Let's have fun while we do it."
Tickets are available from VIPs Hair Salon in Whitby and from the Mallyan Spout Hotel reception in Goathland or by calling the hotel on (01947) 896206.
Tickets can be bought in advance priced £7 adults, children under 16 £3.50 or on the day – £9 adults, children under 16 £4.50.
