A CLASSIC comedy about a best-selling novelist is set to bring the house down when it shows at Whitby Pavilion Theatre later this month.
With echoes of PG Woodhouse The Kingfisher by William Douglas Home tells the story of Cedric who is living comfortably with his butler Hawkins who has served him for 50 years.

There have been many women in Cedric’s richly disordered life, but he has only ever loved one of them, Evelyn. Recently widowed, she is obviously not in a rush to get back into wedlock and it’s decision time for both of them.

The play is presented by The Library Theatre Touring Company and audience members are likely to remain on the edge of their seats as the comedy breaks up the tension perfectly.

The Kingfisher is showing on Thursday 23 October at 7.30pm.

All seats cost £5. To book call the box office on (01947) 604855.
