RANGAM Promotions is looking for bands, of any age, to take part in the first Battle of the Bands at Staithes Athletic Club.
The successful band will win the top prize of a full day's recording session at the newly-opened Potash Studios, situated above the picturesque village of Staithes.
The heats will take place on a Saturday evening on a date to be arranged, to consist of four bands to be judged on the night.
Only one band will go through to the next round.
Each band will have the opportunity to play up to 30 minutes and the running order will be picked out of a hat by the judges.
All genres of music are welcome to compete.

Bands are advised to apply early to avoid disappointment.
