PEOPLE will get the chance to speak to the author of a series of new Medieval mysteries at Whitby Bookshop.
The shop in Church Street is hosting an evening featuring readings, wine, nibbles and chat at 7.30pm on Friday 10 October with Cassandra Clark, author of Hangman Blind.

The first of a new series, Hangman Blind, is set in East Yorkshire, roughly between York, Malton and Beverley.

Her heroine is Hildegard, a woman who, in the early days of her young widowhood, had entered a religious order and sought seclusion in a hermitage on the banks of the River Derwent.

Entrance to the evening is free. People will have the chance to buy a signed copy of the book on the evening.
