DISTINGUISHED bass Paul Hudson, who has given more than 600 performances as principal bass at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, is the star of tomorrow's lunchtime concert at Whitby Pavilion.
Paul has appeared frequently with all the major opera companies in the UK and his international appearances include the title roles in The Marriage of Figaro and Damnation of Faust in Australia.
In San Francisco, he appeared with the great Luciano Pavarotti in Tosca, having previously recorded it with him in London.
His recent DVDs include Covent Garden opera releases with Placido Domingo and Dame Joan Sutherland.
Paul is currently touring the UK with a well-known opera company but has found time to appear again in Whitby.
He is versatile and will sing arias and songs which are pleasing to the audience.
Paul will be accompanied by BBC pianist Vincent Billington in a concert not to be missed.
Whitby Pavilion has a scenic cafe with good access for the disabled. The concert tomorrow starts at 12.30pm, admission £3 on the door.
