ALED Jones is to give a one-off concert in Scarborough next month.
Aled is most famous as the boy-star whose breath-taking performance of Walking In The Air helped make the Raymond Briggs cartoon The Snowman an annual Christmas favourite.
Aled has continued to perform and record classical and choral music at the highest levels. In 2004 he graced television screens once again, in the popular BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing.
He currently presents Songs Of Praise (BBC1), Good Morning Sunday (BBC Radio 2), Friday Night Is Music Night (BBC Radio 2), The Choir (BBC Radio 3), and his own musical chat show on BBC Radio Wales.
He is also a team captain on BBC 1's new quiz show What Are You Like? hosted by Fiona Bruce and will be presenting the nightly BBC 1 Proms highlights shows during August.
The Spa concert will contain songs from Aled's new album Reason to Believe. The album has a selection of songs old and new, secular and devotional, showcasing the voice that has been entrancing audiences since he was a choirboy.
Tickets are now on sale for the concert on Saturday 20 September at the Spa Grand Hall.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Admission is £24.95 adults, £22.95 concessions. For more information call the box office on (01723) 357869.
