Hundreds of pirates plundered the streets of Whitby last weekend to raise money for the RNLI.
The sixth Whitby Pirate Day took place on Saturday with events centred around the Bandstand on Pier Road.
Organiser Lorrie Smeltzer said: “It is always amazing to see how many people come down and join in. Everyone is so jolly and ready to enjoy a great day out, while raising money for such a fantastic cause.”
Over the past five years the event has raised over £3,000 for the lifeboat charity.
Jessica McDowell, aged nine, said: “I love Whitby Pirate Day. There’s great music and games and everyone’s really friendly and funny. I’ve been every year and I’ll definitely be here next year.”
The Whitby International Pirate Society provided acoustic music throughout the whole weekend at The Shambles and joined in with various entertainments.
