The £3m new steam train the Tornado steamed in to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at the weekend.
And despite a few hiccups, the visit proved to be a big success.
Organisers said a mechanical problem was found on Saturday, meaning the steam engine, the first to be built for almost 50 years, was unable to make its scheduled runs on Sunday.
The Tornado has joined at least 10 other engines for the event which also runs next weekend.
Robert Townsend captured the Tornado in all her magnificence as she steamed along the line.
