WHITBY darts players Garry Summerson, Paul Upton, Gary Johnston and Andy Anderson will be taking on all-comers in a bid to break the world record of 241 legs of darts in just 12 hours.

The record bid takes place on Saturday 6 August at Whitby Cricket Club to raise money for the club’s junior section, followed by a raffle and auction.

Prizes include £50 cash, boxes of Whitby oven baked scampi, a £50 fish hamper donated by Whitby Seafish, Ripon and Hexham race tickets, a day’s cricket at Durham and Lancashire and family tickets to The Deep and Eden Camp among many more.

On the same day, Whitby CC 1sts take on Richmondshire 1sts - watch out for a match report and pictures in the Whitby Gazette.
