The schools represented were Airy Hill, Lythe, Egton, Ruswarp, Hawsker, West Cliff, Danby, East Whitby, Goathland and Lealholm.

Students from Whitby Community College helped to run the event by helping to manage the teams and carrying out of the umpiring, they were praised for their consistency and enthusiasm, a real credit to the college.

The children battled it out in the group stages, all giving their all and representing their schools well.

The team from Egton eventually came first overall with 12 points, winning all of their matches, East Whitby were closely behind with 11 points, followed by Hawsker with 10.

All the teams did exceptionally well with the scores being very close right across the board.
