Six-a-side glory for Fylingdales juniors
SEVEN junior members of Fylingdales Cricket Club travelled to Cloughton to compete in an invitation six-a-side event organised by the local cricket club.
Eight teams took part playing in leagues of four.
Fylingdales' first match was against Pickering A, with Fylingdales winning by 66 runs to 51.
Their next opponents were Wykeham who were beaten 53 to 41. Cloughton B were their last opponents, Fylingdales winning 67 to 64.
In their semi-final, Fylingdales had a close match with Cloughton A who were restricted to just 38 runs.
Both Fylingdales openers were dismissed in the third of five overs leading to a tense finish.
