Rivals foil trophy bid

SLEIGHTS Bowling Club played the return leg of their Challenge Trophy match against Castleton, away, and with 20 shots in hand from the first leg, they were hopeful of retaining the trophy.

However, as expected, Castleton came out with great determination to claw these back which they did, plus a further six shots to regain the trophy with an overall score of 229-223.

Sleights also played friendlies against Snainton and Guisborough Priory, winning both.
