SLEIGHTS Bowling Club held their annual dinner and prize presentation at the Salmon Leap, Sleights, where they enjoyed an excellent meal.

The club’s president, Ian Harrison, presented the trophies, after which, there was dancing to the music of Keith Swales.

Ladies novice winner Rose Isherwood, R/up Christine Hodgkinson; men’s novice winner Tom Wheeler, R/up Stuart Hurworth; ladies’ singles winner Eileen Clark, R/up Joyce Blythman; men’s singles winner John Pybus, R/up Eric Sanderson; Open singles winner Mick Dean, R/up Colin Gray; Captains Pairs winners Don Isherwood and Rose Isherwood, R/up Steve Harrison and Eric Sanderson; Club pairs winners Colin Gray and Jean Moore, R/up Eric Sanderson and Beryl Raw; Club triples winners Steve Harrison, John Dixon and Hilda Brown, R/up Bill Nicol, Walter Turner and Bill Dixon; Triples League winners Terry Reid, Don Isherwood and Pat Harrison, R/up Eddie White, Daniel Lewis and Tom Wheeler; Gordon Fletcher Pairs winners John Pybus and Rex Summersgill, R/up Terry Reid and Joyce Blythman.

The James Bedford Trophy was presented to Daniel Lewis, the most improved player of the season.
