A host of Whitby Boxing Club’s young prospects have been out in action over a busy few weeks for the club.
Seventeen-year-old Ben White managed to pick up his first win at the sixth attempt when he beat Joshua Moore at Rockwood Boxing Club in Leeds.
Moore rocked his opponent early in the first round and continued to dominate until the start of the third round when the referee issued a standing eight count before stopping the contest.
Also in action on the same night was 10-year-old Whitby ABC prospect Tyler Thorpe, who took on a strong Rockwood fighter called Kian Barber in a skills bout.
Thorpe was up against it but stuck neatly to his jab throughout the contest.
The busy period for coach Stuart Lorrains and his boxers continues this weekend when a host of his prospects travel to York.
Thorpe is out again, while Ryan Puckrin, 13, makes his debut in the ring.
Eleven-year-old Kane Morrison takes on Dax Almons, Ryan Harris (13), is out in action and Dylan Humble, 16, will meet Joe Stilgoe.
