A new cycle sportive to take place over Whitby Regatta was launched at the town’s whalebones on Saturday.

The new event, starting and finishing near The Met on Whitby’s West Cliff on Saturday August 15, will comprise three races – 30 miles, 50 miles and 80 miles. Anyone can take part and riders don’t have to be in a club. People can enter in advance or pay on the day.
