There is the usual Stableford on Saturday (Nov 30), but on Sunday (Dec 1), there is a fun competition with a shotgun start at 9.30am, open to all members, men, ladies and juniors.

Please get your name down on the list in the lounge by Saturday lunchtime to be included.

This game precedes the presentation of prizes in the clubhouse at 2pm.

There will be a Midweek Stableford on Wednesday.

Jean Owens was this week’s winner of £100 in the 200 Club.

Tony’s Tip:

Instead of just blasting away on every tee, try to get into the habit of looking up to the green to see if the flag is cut to the side of the green or is in the middle.

If it is to one side, aim to position your tee shot so that you will be approaching the green from the opposite side of the fairway.

This will open up the green, making it easier to get your ball near to the hole.
