League raises £1,600 for baby hospice

THE Hinderwell and District Charity Darts league finals and presentation night was held at the White Hart Inn, Mickleby.

After playing the semi-finals of the individual and pairs cups, league trophies were presented by Margaret Barron, representing Zoe’s Place baby hospice.

A cheque for £1,600 was then presented to Margaret on behalf of the darts league by Graham Scott, the former landlord of the Fox Inn.

Margaret thanked the darts league for the cheque received and then explained how the money would be used to benefit those in need.

The evening continued with the finals of the pairs and individual cups.

Remaining trophies were presented by Brenda and Alan Welford, landlady and landlord of the White Hart.

The league secretary thanked to everyone who had helped in any way and to all those who had supported the darts league throughout the season.

He also thanked Brenda and Alan Welford for their hospitality and for the buffet supper which they put on.
