YEAR nine PE choice students from Eskdale School hosted the annual sports partnership multi-skills festivals for pupils in years three and four.
More than 140 lower key stage two children from local Whitby primary schools took part in the event.
The year nine students designed their own activities for the afternoons and led the younger children in a wide range of challenges and games.
The afternoons were participation based and designed to develop the participant’s agility, balance and co-ordination skills.
Primary school teachers that attended the event with their children commented on how superb the year nine leaders had been and how much the younger children had enjoyed the event.
Sports co-ordinator Caroline Watson said: “A very big well done and thank you to all of those involved in this event.”
