HERE are the latest results from the Whitby Sea Anglers’ Association.
Sunday 30 January
Slack tide, fishing over low water 1946 hrs, cold northerly breeze and a little north easterly long distance swell led to crystal clear water, not ideal fishing conditions.
Nevertheless, there was a good turnout of anglers who tried their best.
1 Dave Hambley 2 fish for 5lb 4oz, 2 Ben Laws 2 fish for 4lb 4oz, 3 Denis Thompson 4 fish for 3lb 10oz, 4 Andrew Cass 1 fish for 3lb 5oz, 5 Brian Harland 2 fish for 8oz.
Wednesday 2 February
Fishing a good ebb to low water at 2200 hrs, conditions were very arduous for all.
Strengthening westerly winds soon flattened what little long distance easterly swell there was.
Once again, there was a good turnout of anglers for only three codling.
1 Brian Harland 1 fish for 2lb 14oz, 2= equal Denis Thompson and Rob Allison with 1 fish for 1lb 9oz each.
