Danby’s Frazer Clacherty was crowned junior men’s champion for the second year running after a faultless race in the Mountain Bike National Championships at the weekend.

He was competing at the 2012 Olympics course at Hadleigh Farm, Essex.

Frazer has been unbeaten so far this year in the national series, winning four rounds and holding off some tough opposition. This weekend, he has been chosen to represent GB in the European Championships in Italy. A former pupil of Danby School, Eskdale and Whitby Community college, Frazer is now studying for his A-levels at Stokesley School, alongside training with British cycling on the Olympics development programme.
