The victorous Fylingdales and Whitby netball girls clinched the division three title with a game still in hand after an emphatic win in their penutimate game of the season.
From the opening quarter, Dales were in complete control. Jo Raw and Jen Milburn soon had the scores ticking over and hard-working Hana Welford and Kelly Storr made some great challenges for any loose shots from the young Bees side.
Dales led 9-1 at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter saw much of the same with the Bees having no answers to the Dales’ fast play.
Sam Lee was having a great game in defence and the Dales scored another eight goals with the Bees unable to score at all.
The third quarter saw Beth Hellawell and Sam Edwards passing the ball around the court with ease and another eight points were added.
Again, great defence kept the Bees out.
In the last quarter, the Dales romped away with another 11 goals.
Suzy Purves worked hard down the left midfield and the Bees got the loudest cheer of the night when they scored their second goal.
But the night belonged to the Dales who can now look forward to second division netball next season.
The team will pick up their league trophy as well as the third division cup they won earlier in the season at a presentation evening at Scarborough Spa on 15 June.
The team are also in with a chance of winning a third trophy for the highest score in all the leagues.
This is a great first season for the team who remain unbeaten.
Player of the match: Jo Raw.
