Blind angler David Young fought off competition from 160 others to win the Jack Charlton Disabled Anglers Cup at Kielder Water.
David, of Lythe, was the overall winner from all the boat and bank fishermen, teams and individuals, with a toal bag weight of 14lb 3oz of rainbow trout.
He said: “There are many degrees of disabilities who are fishing in this competition which has been going for approximately 25 years.
“I would like to thank Bob Richardson for taking me up to Kielder and being my ghillie [attendant on a fishing expedition] for the day.
Without him, it would not have been possible to get to the venue.”
