WHITBY’S summer angling festival now has just three days to go - with long-time leader John Wilcock still in pole position for the £5,000 top prize.
John’s 26lb ling caught on the opening day has not yet been beaten - and the festival, organised by Whitby Charter Skippers’ Association, reaches its climax on Sunday (10 July).
Here are the latest results, with the reward for daily prize-winners of £50 1st, £30 2nd and £20 third:

Whitby Charter Skippers’ Association’s summer festival presentation night is next Friday (15 July) at the Fishermen’s Social Club from 8pm.
