LOOKING for an exciting, action-packed family day out?

Then get along to the Wulfsport British Masters Motocross Championship at Skelder Bank on the outskirts of Whitby this weekend.

Motocross is an adrenalin pumping discipline in off-road motorcycle sport as up to 40 riders on specially adapted bikes and dressed in multi-coloured protective clothing contest a series of races over a marked circuit.

Thrill as the brave, highly skilled mud warriors fly through the air producing breath-taking, daring over-taking manoeuvres and battle it out through numerous bumps, twists and turns as they attempt to be the first rider past the chequered flag.

The Wulfsport British Masters is promoted by the AMCA who are the largest controlling organisation for off-road motorcycle sport in the UK.

This particular series provides racing over six rounds, from Whitby in the north to Swindon in the west, with two days of competition at each event for the country’s top Pro,Youth and Amateur riders, all chasing a share of the largest overall prize fund in European motocross.

As well as the super motocross racing, you will find both refreshment and motocross related retailers on site.

Action on both Saturday and Sunday should be under way by 10am and going right through to 5pm.

Admission costs are £5 on Saturday and Sunday, when the pros are racing, £10 adults, £5 OAPs/children five to 15 and children under five free.
