Lyth opens England batting in Trinidad

WHITBY’S Adam Lyth opened the batting for England Lions in their tour match against Trinidad and Tobago.

Lyth hit 34 as England notched a first innings total of 325 and followed that up with a 29 as the tourists declared on 277/6 in their second innings, leaving Trinidad and Tobago a 320 victory target.

The home side batted well but ran out of time, leaving the match in Trinidad to peter out into a draw.
