Lealholm’s Paul Hogarth was dubbed ‘The Cat with Three Lives’ after twice being bowled by no balls in a tight Whitby Gazette Cup tie against Mulgrave A.
Just to prove his luck was in, Hogarth also survived a protracted run-out appeal before finally falling for a stumping late in the game, having scored 23.
Batting first, Lealholm made 97/5 from their 20 overs, with skipper Iain Groark (22) contributing well.
In reply, Mulgrave A - who decided to bowl first after winning the toss - got off to a good start with J Jacobs reaching 24 but they fell just short of the victory target as they fell behind the run-rate required.
Graham Featherstone starred with the ball for Lealholm, taking seven wickets in total.
Lealholm face a tough route to the final of the Whitby Gazette Cup- they are set to take on Fryup on Tuesday 11 June.
