WHITBY Town’s annual short trip to Mill Lane takes place on Tuesday night (19 July) with a 7.30pm kick-off.
The Blues are hoping to continue a run of back-to-back 2-1 victories in the traditional pre-season fixture.
Manager Tommy Cassidy is expecting to welcome back defender Ashley Lyth and striker Ash Davis - neither figured in the weekend 6-0 win over Fishburn Park.
Injured duo Dave Campbell and Chris Batchelor are both set to miss out, though Campbell should be back to face Whitley Bay at the Turnbull Ground on Saturday (23 July).
In the corresponding game last season, Jamie Owens - now at Norton & Stockton and Nathan Cook (Bridlington Town) were on target for Whitby.
The Pikes have been decimated by a number of players defecting to Bridlington, including Cook, who went on to join Pickering and is the son of Brid’s new boss Mitch Cook, who won the FA Vase at Wembley as a Whitby player, and more recently, Pickering manager.
Ged Dalton, Josh Greening and Wayne Aziz are all expected to tread the same path from Whitby, via Pickering, to Queensgate over the summer.
Whitby travel to Bridlington for a pre-season clash on 2 August.
