Three Scarborough News Saturday League sides will be aiming to make it to the last four of the North Riding Saturday Challenge Cup this weekend.

There’s an all-Scarborough Saturday League battle as Whitby Fishermen’s Society play host to newly-formed third division outfit Itis Itis Rovers.
The Division Three side won 3-1 against Helperby Rovers and then Scalby to make it through to the last eight, while the Fishermen cruised past Copmanthorpe Reserves 5-0 before hammering AFC Crayke 7-0 to book their place in the last eight.
Target-man Sam Pickard and their midfield trio of Niall Gibb, Luke Jones and Curtis Rose will be key to Rovers’ chances, while Mark and Steve Swales will be instrumental for Fishermen’s.
Division One title contenders West Pier, who won the competition in 2012/13 season after Thirsk Falcons fielded an ineligible player in the final, play host to University of York.
Pier strikers Billy Logan and Neil Thomas will again be their key men.
The other two semi-finals see Stokesley Sports Club welcome Bedale, while Redcar Town Reserves do battle with Tockwith AFC next Saturday.
