FISHBURN Park under 11s travelled to Billingham in high spirits after a flying start to the season and made it five wins out of five with an emphatic win.

Ward-Hepburn got the ball rolling when he latched onto a Fergus pass and cooly lobbed the keeper.

Swales made it 2-0 shortly after with a left foot drive.

Then Hambley, who was lively throughout on the left, got in behind the home defence to finish from close range.

Billingham were dangerous on the counter-attack though and particularly down the right. They pulled a goal back too as the forward used his pace well to get in on goal.

Keeper Humble came out bravely at the forward’s feet and the resulting collision left both down on the floor injured.

The referee let the game carry on regardless and the home team reacted quickest to score into the empty net.

Park went back on the attack and soon restored the three-goal advantage, with Hambley again finishing off from close range for 4-1.

The home team responded again and after a couple of corners which were cleared they managed to get a free head on goal which was flicked excellently into the roof of the net.

A frantic first half was finished off as Ward-Hepburn again chased down a lost cause and muscled his way in past two defenders and the keeper to score from a tight angle for 5-2 at half-time.

Park were in rampant mood through the second half too and Swales with his second of the game made it 6-2 which set the goal trail going again.

Fergus then got his reward for another superb performance to make it seven. The hosts replied midway through the half as Park got caught with too many bodies upfield.

But Park were in dominant mood and scored a further three goals, with Ward-Hepburn completing his hat-trick and Swales cracking two stunners from distance to finish with four for the day.

Men of the match: Luke Ward-Hepburn - chased every ball down and took plenty of kicks in the process, rewarded with a fine hat-trick & Dylan Swales – superb finishing and work rate. A fine partnership developing here.
