SLIDESHOW: Hart strike seals Whitby side’s comeback

Whitby Fishermen’s Society came back from a goal down to claim a 2-1 win at home to second-from-bottom Ryedale Sports Club.

The hosts could have taken the lead early on in Saturday’s first division clash, but missed a penalty conceded by Ryedale keeper Matthew Todd.

Soon afterwards, the Pickering side went ahead when Martin Myers slotted the ball under Fishermen’s keeper Paul Cull.

Ten minutes before half-time, Pete Scaife levelled for the hosts and just before the hour mark the turnaround was complete when Neil Hart notched a second for the hosts.

Paul Tose was man of the match for Mark Storr’s victorious side, while Ben Thompson and Harry Reed shared the plaudits for the visitors.
