FISHBURN Park under 11s kept their first clean sheet of the season with a solid 4-0 win over Darlington outift Mount Pleasant.
Park were dominant throughout the game with the visitors’ only real threat coming from their speedy striker who Sault covered well all game.
The midfield pairing of Hansell and Ward again bossed the game and it was a case of waiting for goals to come for Park, but the visitors’ defence stood firm with some good blocks and last-ditch tackles.
Ward-Hepburn broke the resistance midway through the half, finishing off from close range.
Hambley was introduced at half-time and immediately the pace quickened as he sped through twice, only to be denied by the keeper and also put another wide of the target.
The visitors made a tactical change to quell the speedy Hambley but to no avail as he burst through again and won a corner for Park.
Hambley cut the ball back to Fergus from the corner which he curled superbly into the net for 2-0.
The Hambley show then kicked in to full flow as he grabbed himself another brace to finish the game off - the first as he outpaced the defender and blasted in and the second, he reacted sharply inside the box to score.
