FISHBURN Park under 12s returned to league action with another impressive win over Spraire Lads from Darlington.
The first half was well contested with Park just about deserving their 1-0 lead at half-time.
The goal was an excellent piece of football with Hambley played in down the right and having beaten his marker for pace, he delivered a superb cross into the area for Cruz to smash into the roof of the net.
The visitors’ best chance of the half came when their player hit a strong low shot into the corner, only to see Humble in goal pull off a wonder save to deny him.
Park were pulled back a few times during the half for offside as they looked to get in behind and Horne had a good chance which just flashed wide of the post, while the visitors best play was coming through their tricky left winger, who delivered some excellent crosses in.
In the second half Park were on top and creating some good opportunities throughout, but were just missing the final touch, Bannister sliding one just wide of the post,
Swales was unlucky with a diving header and Didelot with a couple of half chances on his debut.
However, the deserved second goal did come, as Swales tricked his way past his man on the edge of the area and fired his shot into the top corner.
The visitors never gave up, but other than a couple of corners, never really troubled Park as the lads defended excellently all over the pitch.
Man of the match: Dylan Humble – Excellent game with a match-winning save.
